Privacy and files
Are my PDFs uploaded to the server?
No. The website serves the interface and the tools work in your browser whenever the feature allows it.
Are hidden servers used?
No. We do not use hidden servers to read, convert or modify documents.
Can I use confidential documents?
Local processing improves privacy, but for extremely sensitive documents use a trusted device and wait for the future Pro app if you need fully offline work.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Some features may continue to work if the site was already loaded and the browser retained its files, but a complete offline experience is not yet guaranteed. The future Pro app is intended for local offline work.
Free use and limits
Are there daily limits?
No. You may use the tools as often as you wish. The accurate wording is “no daily limits”, not “unlimited use”, because technical file-size, page and file-count limits apply.
Why are there size limits?
Because processing takes place in the browser. The limits reduce crashes and excessive memory use.
What should I do if a large file does not work?
Close other tabs, use an up-to-date browser or split the task into smaller files. Large files and batch processing are planned for PDFPrivado Pro.
Why do different PDFs produce different results?
PDFs may be scanned, protected, contain heavy images, unusual fonts or complex internal structures. The result depends on how each file was created.
PDF tools
Does Compress PDF always reduce the size substantially?
Not always. The website performs structural optimization and basic cleanup, but does not promise extreme compression of images or scans.
Does Extract Text preserve the original layout?
No. It retrieves plain text and can create a basic DOCX, but it does not promise perfect Word conversion or preservation of the original layout.
Can PDFPrivado recover a forgotten password?
No. It can only remove a password you already know; it does not guess, recover, or crack it.
Is PDF Protection available on the web?
Yes. You can protect with AES-256 or remove a known password. Everything is processed locally in your browser.
PDFPrivado Pro
Can the Pro app already be purchased or downloaded?
No. It is not yet available for purchase, download, reservation or contracting.
Which features are planned?
Large files, batch processing, offline OCR, advanced Word conversion, stronger compression and higher speed.
Will payments or ads appear soon?
Before any monetization, the legal texts, privacy, cookies, consent and owner details will be completed.
Common problems
I cannot see the latest changes online
Try CTRL + F5 or a private window and confirm that Render has finished the deployment.
The file does not download
Check that the browser did not block the download and generate the document again.
Can I send my PDF through the contact form?
No. Describe the issue without attaching PDFs, passwords, personal documents, banking data or sensitive information.
The tool becomes unresponsive
This usually happens with large, scanned or complex PDFs. Close other tabs, try a smaller file and follow the stated limits.
